  Outstanding coaching and facilities! This is the fourth Crossfit box I have been to and I would highly recommend Kakou! Really friendly community, who are very welcoming and non-judgmental which is a credit to the tone set by coaching staff. All levels are welcomed and coaching staff are very attentive to individual coaching needs. Well done!!

  I highly recommend CrossFit Kakou!
  I came to Portland seven months ago for a short period and I'm so happy that I found this place. I met a lovely community there, The staff are amazing!! They're always so welcoming, very professional, there is a constant directions and corrections during workouts, the trainers constantly monitoring the trainees, switching exercises if there are any limitations, the workouts are versatile and challenging, I got a strong base and the correct tools to continue developing my Crossfit and I am so thankful for that.

  Coach Hector & Ashley have excellent knowledge and experience in CrossFit training . If you are thinking to start with cross fit journey but have no idea on how to do it or where to begin, I would highly recommend to have a word with these experts. They focus a lot on your forms & techniques and ensure that you are doing things correctly. Process over ego lifting and once you get the correct form & technique, they would encourage you to lift more. The workouts are uniquely designed everyday and helps to improve overall strength and fitness.
  The culture and environment that we experience here is fantastic and everyone is so supportive. The community members are well connected and everyone is treated like family. They do lot of fun activities as well. Love this place!!!

  Hector and Ashley have a special vibe here. The coaches and athletes are inclusive and approachable but will still push you and hold you accountable to yourself, your form, and your fitness goals. I was a member of Kakou for about a year before I moved out of town. They authentically care about you and your goals, long after the new member honeymoon period. The retention rate of this place is a direct result of that. I would recommend this place to anyone and I miss going here.

  The coaches and the members are amazing. The culture and environment this gym provides is unmatched. Everyone there is so supportive and has a lot of fun. The coaches care a lot about members being successful in making sure our technique is correct and we are moving functionally. The members are so uplifting and encouraging. It makes you want to continue to come back. Community > Competition.
