(January 14, 2018, 8:52 am)While I haven't done the 5k/10k Racing Series here, I have run through these woods a fair number of times. The trails are packed-down dirt, and they're all kept clear of branches. Most have a lot of foliage above, so it can definitely be a good place to beat the heat. There are very few people around generally, even in the summer, so you'll be running alone most times. Cops (trying to catch backroads speeders) do like to sit in the driveways though, so you may run out of the woods and basically on top of one.
