Heart of Gold Midwifery

Having Ulrike as a midwife was a truly a great experience. When researching midwives, I wanted someone who met my emotional, mental, and physical needs. She did that and so much more.
Our appointments were never rushed. Every time I saw her I felt like I had just visited a long time friend.
She was very nurturing throughout my whole pregnancy. During our labor, she held space for us to do what we needed to birth our baby.
She brought with her a certain peace of mind and heart. I knew she always had our best interests at heart.
I’ll forever be grateful for the work she did for us and our baby during this journey!!

What I loved about having Ulrike as a midwife was the empowerment she gave me. Perhaps her own faith in women and our abilities gave me more faith in my own. After I started seeing Ulrike, any fears about giving birth or my ability to do so melted away. It was a very holistic, comfortable and natural feeling from pregnancy, birth, and aftercare. I'm so glad I was able to have my baby in our own home. Thanks Ulrike.

it is hard for me to even find the words to express how much I appreciated Ulrike as my midwife. My birth "plan" was severely altered when I found out I was actually having twins, but Ulrike remained my rock through it all. She really, really went above and beyond and I am forever grateful. She is a badass!!

Our experience with Ulrike was truly lovely. I honestly feel like she is a part of our family.
We started seeing her in June. Each prenatal visit was more than just an appointment; we talked about our lives, our feelings, the world around us. I mean, she really got to KNOW us. We are people with big personalities, but we could weep tears around her because she made us so comfortable. We are a low income family, and she worked with us so much. She knew what birth experience we wanted, and she made it clear that was so much more important than any financial matter.
By the time I went into labor in December, I knew I had a midwife (and friend) I could rely on. Ulrike and another Midwife named Stephanie drove over an hour to our home. They coached me and encouraged me with such sweetness and patience as I labored. They really instilled a sense of confidence and fearlessness, something that I needed to get me through a long birth. They were with us for hours! Even when my labor became a little more complicated, they knew what to do to get our baby here!
After I had given birth, and it was time for post natal care, we were all set. Ulrike has provided me and my husband with everything we would need to have a comfortable recuperation.
This review really only scratches the surface of all of the good things I could say about our time with Ulrike. I could go on and on. But here is the most important thing: if you are looking for a strong, compassionate, competent midwife to help you and your family bring a new life into your world, Ulrike is THE BEST person to do it 🧡
