  This place is beyond special. It is incredibly rare. It is the first time, in 20+ years of yoga and health, to find a location so peaceful, teacher so knowledgeable, and a practice infused with such an immense amount of ancient wisdom which can be simply applied to modern life and health, to restore complete balance in the body and peace of mind. I am so happy and incredibly grateful, to have found this place, after trying so many other practices and modalities of natural healing. I've improved major health issues, alleviated anxiety, and gained such knowledge of mind body spirit, more in the 4 months I've practiced here,...than all 20+ years of yoga and meditation experience put together. Many thanks to Sharon Kapp, a wonderful Ayurvedic Practitioner, Yogi, and such a wise and truly caring and compassionate soul. Houston is very lucky to have Houston Yoga & Ayurveda. Accessible distance, and totally worth the drive, for a class or a 2-hr Ayurvedic Consultation, which I feel everyone should try, in order to gain rare and useful insight to their health and overall well being! And even just the nature and peaceful walk around the property alone is worth the drive to check it out! ♡

  I have driven by this place for the last few years on vacation and been curious about it, but never stopped by because I was visiting from out of town. Now that I'm in town for a while, my sister signed us up for an evaluation and a month of unlimited yoga classes. We dropped in to check it out before starting and ended up spending two hours there talking. Where did the time go?!
  
  The space is serene, peaceful and has amazing energy. The people are accepting, open, and nonjudgmental. An informal setting, Sharon has converted this home into a center for healing and wellness that is very inviting.
  
  I have tried yoga classes here and there and could never really get into them. The pace was too fast. I couldn't find my breath. I found I did better on my own than trying to keep up with exercise yoga teachers. I never really knew what real yoga was about until talking to Sharon and experiencing one of her classes. I never knew what Ayurveda was until my first appointment with her. It has peaked my curiosity and opened new doors for me. It has become a new addition in my journey for self care, and healing.
  
  I look forward to trying out some of the other many services she provides, and highly recommend this ashram to anyone in search of healing, or just a place to get away from it all for a minute, or two hours.

  I began my healing journey three years ago seeking peace within my body as well as my soul. I recieved an unbelievably confusing diagnosis of Lupus from a western MD that began my quest for true healing. I went to almost 5 top doctors in the city of Houston each in their own expertise giving me prescription medicine, a load of synthetic vitamins, and the hardest diet to follow. I got worse symptoms like all over body stiffness, heart palpitations, hair loss, burning spine, severe stomach aches, gallstones, urinary tract infections, and a deteriorating sense of self. Hopeless and exhausted I dived into practicing Yoga, meditation and a desperate cry to God for help. The day I was lead into Houston Ayurveda and Yoga I knew I was meant to meet Lauren and Sharon. I was very sceptical at first because through my exhaustive search for real change Doctors and peoples opinions had lost their validity. Through the guidance and knowledge from Sharon, I have had the most impactful change in my body in as little as 2 months! Sharon's knowledge of the body, food as medicine, and personal intuitive gifts have boosted my being towards healing. The first session with Sharon is the doorway to open for your first steps to health and wellness here in Houston.

  This was the place where our suffering stopped.
  My son experienced the pancha karma treatment and not only he got hope but he was able to hold a firm grip of his life.
  
  After 6 years struggling physically and emotionally he was able to make Ayurveda a way of healthy living.
  We all know yoga is a way to make your mind align with your body and spirit but just a few find out how Ayurveda works. It is like magic, you will be able to notice improvement within days.
  
  Sharon has been one of our biggest blessings. She is not only kind and nurturing but knowledgeable and amazingly loving towards all the people that crosses her path.
  
  I don’t poses enough words that can describe the experience, the daily miracles and loving teachings we had through her.
  I personally had gotten to love and be grateful to Sharon and her staff for helping us become better human beings and understand that we have to repay our Creator by being kind to one another and specially to ourselves.
