Beautiful park with many trails! Perfect for biking, skating, hiking with a stroller or simply taking a walk. Not the best option if you want to sit down and have a picnic or whatnot. Connected to Flatwoods park.
Beautiful place to walk, hike, bike, skate or have a picnic! I made my best rollerblading speed here at 23mph! Fun place
I am a nature buff and I'm always looking for places that have that magical aura not easily found everywhere. I found it here. This is one of those parks where the trails and walkways are magical and ethereal, like out of a fairy tale. On the minus side, there is no restroom and the only portable potty is facing a tree branch, so it cannot be opened. If you need to go, the forest is your only option. Meaning, you will have to find a secluded spot or hold it until you get to a nearby gas station or your home. But everything else was perfect. Especially the zip line. Yes. A zip line. When we got to the zip line there was a family using it, but they immediately left after we arrived and the place was for just ourselves. There was nobody else. My daughter, who I call Ninja Baby because she is so brave and brazen, always trying the most difficult stunts and playground obstacles since she was a tiny baby, was the first one to try it and she didn't want to stop! I tried it twice and it was so much fun!! You have to hold on tight or you will fall when it suddenly stops. It took all my strength to hold on, but she did it like a pro! My son refused to do it. He is an old soul and it was just too much for him. For us two, it was one of the best times we have ever had in a park.
Oh my gosh I couldn't say enough great things about this place. Miles of trails, paved and dirt. You can hike, bike, rollerblade or just walk. You could seriously spend days walking, so many different paths too. It did take me a moment to find the trail start from one of the parking lots ($2 all day) But once I did it was beautiful.
Love the wide open paths - it's so large that there's plenty of space to social distance thanks to Mrs. Rona. The winding walkways are whimsical and charming - I really enjoy taking a new route each time and seeing where I end up. Surprisingly peaceful, tucked away in a quiet corner of one of New Tampa's busiest hubs.
Only 4/5 stars because there seems to be a consistent issue with neglected repairs (broken planks in bridge, abandoned caution tape areas) and sometimes the trash is overflowing and strewn about by wildlife. However, with those things fixed this place would be pretty close to perfect.
