Quaint little rooms, very well decorated and clean. Easy walking distance to historic downtown Virginia City.
The staff is amazing! So friendly and gave us lots of suggestions of where to go in town. The room was nice and small. I did have to give them back the doll that was in the room, I was not comfortable with it being in my room all night! Lol And they are pet friendly with a $25 charge.
Really love this place!!!! They are super nice here. The store on site is cool as hell. Rooms are really nice and clean. Beds are great...slept like a baby. Good places to eat within walking distance. For me and James it is a good place for a stay-cation. Awesome times in town....Did the mine tour...
totally awesome. Really enjoyed the Silver Dollar and Bucket of Blood too. Next stop is Cafe ole.
If you stay anywhere in Nevada stay here! Awesome location, awesome owners and wonderful rooms. Virginia City is a must visit town in Nevada. So much to do and see and just let's you step back in time. And if you stay anywhere in town you have to stay at the Sugarloaf Mountain Motel. They truly treat you like family. This won't be like staying at some cookie cutter hotel. But, will welcome you right into the heart of Virginia City. They have a great store full of everything you need for your stay. It reminded me of the nice little mom and pop stores we used to have as kids back home. Just on the edge of town so you are right next to all of town attractions, but don't have all the hustle and bustle and noise in the evenings. So you will get a great nights rest. Wonderful remodeled showers and comfortable clean beds. I already can't wait to come back!
Clean, tidy, old and funky with lots of charm. This semi-renovated classic wooden motel is spotless, with traces of Wild West charm. Fringed lampshades, pretty quilts, window shutters and mountain views abound. The friendliness of owners Candace and Charlie, transplants from San Jose, can't be beat. Free coffee and pastries for breakfast plus a little market where we bought a microwaveable breakfast bowl to "cook" in our room. A real find in very busy, historic Virginia City which is sold out every weekend. (Not for everyone!)
