  Let me start by saying I have been a client for 10 years. Unfortunately in this time many vet visits dont provide the news we as pet owners want to hear. The balance of compassion and professionalism is always spot on here. We usually see Dr. Diaz who is one of the most intelligent and honest doctors I've ever met. Whether Im in need of a compassionate explanation or ask him to give it to me straight he provides. Delivering some of the most difficult news in such a straight forward and compassionate way is a skill and he excells.
  
  Last time we were here though was with Dr. Fetzner with a better happier story. They did a great job with my kitty Neo. They always do. The front desk staff squeezed us in for a last minute appointment which saved us the extra cost not having to go to the ER. Neo got sick for unknown reasons, so he needed a lot of testing. Dr. Fetzner took the time to explain everything they wanted to do and was honest with how sometimes things like this just take time to recover from and we never find out what it is. We went ahead with the testing, to be certain we werent missing anything. All of the testing came back normal! Dr. Fetzner took her time explaining the results and what they meant. She answered all of my questions and listened to my concerns with compassion and knowledge. Neo did indeed just need some time and is doing great after minimal treatments prescribed by Dr. Fetzner.
  
  I am really happy with this veterinary office. Our kitties have been coming here for years and I dont plan to switch even when we move from the area. Dr. Diaz and Dr. Fetzner are some of the best in the business. The techs and front desk staff truly make the visits easy and their passion for their work saving our pets is very apparent from the first phone call. They've had to talk me through a phone call with a dying pet and take his lifeless body from my arms. Pure compassion from them made miserable times into something I was able to work through instead of worry though. They take time to explain procedures and charges and make sure I get copies of everything I ask for. I've never felt more comfortable with the techs at any office. I am lucky I have insurance now, vet visits anywhere aren't cheap, these vets work hard to help all who are sick and are honest about pricing and they try to save on costs where we can. They have state of the art machines and fantastic doctors and somehow stay priced very fairly for this area. Get insurance! Use this vet office! They're wonderful!

  I have to give the staff, especially Dr. Fetzner, credit where it's due. Today was my very reactive dog's second annual visit to them, and they are very accommodating and understanding. It helps to make a very stressful obligation more bearable!

  Everyone here is very kind and helpful. We've been taking all our cats here for some time now and I've never had a bad experience. All the vets are fantastic and they really care about helping pets.

  Lancaster Small Animal Hospital is a great place that I take my pit bull too every one in there is very polite kind and caring no one is rude or disrespectful or has attitudes sweetest caring people,everything is done in a timely manner and no rushing if your finances are tight the wonderful woman doctor will put what’s most important for your pet visit that fits for you and if there’s remaining things she will tell you how long you can wait. my dog is a very big baby and has anxiety and they treat him so well and do everything possible to make him comfortable. I recommend this vet more than 5 stars.

  I can't say enough good things about this business. I have two small guinea pigs one of them was not feeling good I called nine veterinarians they were going to make me wait 3 weeks before I could get in to see them. I did some research and looked at all the reviews this veterinarian hospital came in high very high regards. They got me in 2 hours after I called. They did not charge me extra and were super gentle super sweet. I could tell that these people from the receptionist to the veterinarian all have love for animals serious love. I will never take my animals to any place other than here. When Emmett past away they send a beautiful personally wrote sympathy card.
